Michelle's story:I've always been a dog person,  dogs attracted towards me. Even feral dogs would walk right up to me, and wanted me to pet them. Honestly though I was not the best dog mom. I just didn't know how to communicate with my own dogs and I found that very frustrating.  I would think why isn't it easier. Why one dog would instinctively know and others just seemed like they were going to do their life their way. Lol!
One day after my heart dog passed away, I decided it was time to take the doggie plunge again. So,  off the the shelter I went.  I found Moose (previously known as MJ), this boy had been returned 4 times to the shelter. I thought why in the world would someone give up so easily on this cutie!  So, I signed the papers and I became a pawrent again. That boy dealt with me for 4 years before I stumbled on the thought of becoming a dog trainer. I did some research and found Animal Behavioral College. I signed up and started my journey. 
All the books in the world couldn't teach me what I learned when I started one of my last phases of my course.  I had to do 21 weeks of externship with an established positive reinforcement trainer. The absolute best 21 weeks of my life!  Moose joined me for 7 weeks of the classes and he loved it at 11 years old!  He did so great with the training he became a demo dog for my mentor trainer. 
I had the honor of watching so many dogs and their owners go through such beautiful transformations.
